Installing tension control (TC) bolts? There’s a method for that. In this video, we demonstrate the Twist-Off Tension Control Bolt method, one of the installation methods outlined by the RCSC. Preforming a pre-installation verification (PIV) for this method ensures each bolt reaches the minimum required pretension before installation. Follow along as we use a 3/4" TC bolt, a shear wrench, and a bolt tension measuring device to confirm the installation meets specifications.
