Kate Ouellette

Kate brings three years of experience in the structural steel industry, specializing in bolted connection installation and best practices. She has served as an instructor for the AISC Virtual Training Portal and leads hands-on training sessions nationwide. Her technical expertise includes the use of calibrated measuring devices, proper bolt storage procedures, adherence to industry standards across all five installation methods, and execution of PIV and ROCAP testing according to specifications and best practices. Kate’s training emphasizes practical, jobsite-ready application, ensuring crews gain confidence and consistency in applying industry standards.

Donald Laro

Donald brings extensive nationwide experience supporting crews through project-specific training and technical guidance. As a committee member with the RCSC, he plays an active role in revising and advancing industry requirements related to structural connections and efficient construction practices. Known for his practical problem-solving skills, he works closely with customers to develop custom solutions that align with real jobsite conditions while emphasizing safety, accuracy, and constructability. Donald’s training approach combines hands-on experience with technical expertise, helping crews and instructors apply industry standards effectively in the field.

Yes, participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of each training session. Certificates can be used for documentation of Professional Development Hours (PDHs) where applicable.
